Our Story

YBP — Young Blacks Perspective is more than just a clothing brand. It’s a mindset, a vision, and a mirror into the real experiences of three young individuals who turned their pain, growth, and voices into something with meaning.

Isaac is a social light with people — outgoing, and full of energy — but suffered a deep personal loss that dimmed his light and made him uncertain. He struggled to cope and find peace. Fortunately, the people that he kept close to him, helped him to understand that clinging to and focusing on the loss wouldn’t help or benefit anything. Now, he’s figured out a way to keep going by creating a new path, and taking the guidance he was once given. He is now driven with a renewed purpose.

Max is a creative visionary. An artist whose creative ideas and thoughts were always intended  to help out others. While his caring thoughts and personality was his stronghold, his naive nature and impulsive actions left him with horrible choices and bad mistakes. This almost became the basis of his identity. After accepting his mistakes, he now pushes forward to better himself as an individual and continues to help others.

Dakari started off quiet — a deep thinker whose voice of reason was known only to him. He knew it wasn’t a matter of lacking the strength to speak, nor was it fear—of someone, or something. Still, he never quite understood why the words never came. Over time, he learned that he was unconsciously limiting himself.    Using the power in his voice, he speaks boldly, with thoughts and ideas that challenge, uplift, and inspire.

These experience's and hardships shape not only their perspective, but the basis of their character. This is YBP. This is Their Perspective!! So what's yours?
